The Heroes
Valen
A man without a past, Valen is an enigma, even to himself. Lacking even the most basic knowledge about himself, he struggles with his own identity and attempts rather unsuccessfully to understand the people and culture around him. But despite his seeming ignorance, he possesses an uncanny knowledge of and afinity with the world around him. Facing an uncertain future, Valen struggles to resolve the myriad mysteries that permeate his life.
Alisa
Strong willed and reclusive, Alisa has a hard time dealing with other people. She prefers solitude to what she considers the fakeness and shallowness of others. Her anti-social tendencies have vastly hindered her training to replace her grandmother as the village healer. The only person to ever make it past her self-imposed barriers is Aethan, who she once took pity on long ago. Given the task of helping Valen recover, Alisa begrudgingly accepts his company as something she can't avoid.
Aethan
Short and weak, Aethan is the runt of his little village. Throughout his childhood, Aethan was picked on by the other children of the village. One day, however, Alisa came to his aid and put an end to the other kids' bullying. Since then, Aethan has become an outcast. Alisa is now his only friend and he looks up to her as an older sister despite the fact they're the same age. He quickly becomes fascinated by Valen, however, and tries to endear himself to the mysterious new stranger.
